Joining the Bloggers

I hope this will serve as a place to record my thoughts on our life and a way to capture memories for Emma and Cole. So far I have not done well with baby books OR scrapbooking! Andrew did try and start this when Cole was born a year ago and was not very good at keeping up. Hopefully I will have better luck.

Cole was just a year old a few weeks ago. It is amazing how fast time flies. I really does feel like we just brought him home. He is such a happy little guy. He smiles and laughs all the time. So far he is not walking, but I think it will happen soon. His favorite past time (aside from sucking his fingers) is watching the birds flying around. He LOVES them. No doubt when he has a first "real" word it will be bird. So far he babbles alot and seems to try and say dog, mama, dada, Emma and light. He and Emma love each other and play together pretty well. He is getting more demanding and can really throw a fit when he doesn't get his way. He is so cute about it though.

Emma continues to just be such a joy. She is 2 years and 9 months going on about 20. She goes to preschool 2 days a week and really loves it. She and Daddy go to gymnastics on Saturday mornings and has been for about a year. It is amazing to see her physical abilities now. She has very little fear, thankfully it is backed by the fact that she can do most of the things she wants to do. We went for a girl's afternoon and Emma got her first manicure and pedicure. Well really just had her nails painted. She did really good and was quite proud of them for about 10 minutes! Then she was off to be a kid again.
